How to redact video and audio? - Follow these 3 simple steps:
Step 1: Upload your recordings and review them
You can easily add your video and audio recordings from your computer or import them in bulk from cloud services like Google Drive and Zoom.
Reduct automatically transcribes your recordings using AI. Each word in the transcript is synced with the video. Hence, you can quickly jump to specific moments by typing in relevant phrases. This text-based search feature makes reviewing faster and simpler.
You can also extract clips from different recordings and assemble them, tailoring to each FOIA request.

Step 2: Select and apply redaction
After reviewing your transcripts, just select the parts that you want to redact and click on the "Redact" button.
You’ll find two options there:

Redact your video: Click on "Blur video." This will give you a black box that you can move around to cover faces or sensitive information. Once you’re satisfied, click on “Apply redaction.”

Redact your audio: Click on "Mute audio." Double-check the timestamp of the audio that you want to mute, then click on “Apply redaction.”
Step 3: Share your redacted file directly via a link
No need to buy USB drives every time you want to share redacted video or audio files! In Reduct, you can directly create a shareable link for them.
Just share this link with your partners, prosecutors, or whoever wants them, without having to download them.
But, if you prefer to have the redacted files on USB drives, you can also download them to your computer and transfer them to USB drives. We've got you covered either way 😉.
