Reduct outshines JusticeText for handling BWC footage from multiple police officers, thanks to features built specifically for public defenders.
The impact and power of video, with the simplicity of text
Transcribe footage
Get accurate AI transcriptions in just minutes. For challenging audio like body cam footage with background noise, you can upgrade to human transcription with just a click.
Review cases quickly
Search through your entire repository of evidence — potentially hundreds of hours of footage. Reduct’s powerful fuzzy search algorithm finds relevant phrases even when the words don’t match exactly.
Select text to download clips
Easily export and download clips that are admissible in court, just by selecting text. You can choose whether or not to include captions, and your download will be ready in seconds.
Create video exhibits
Easily compile clips from your transcripts that are admissible as evidence in most contexts, even in scenarios where the uncertified transcript alone might not be.
Translate your evidence
Easily translate foreign language footage. You can then review evidence even if you don’t speak the language fluently and add English captions for court-ready presentations.

No, Reduct’s enterprise plan starts at $75/month per editor which is still less expensive than JusticeText’s cheapest plan, priced at $88/month. Human transcription in Reduct is also much cheaper than that of JusticeText. Additionally, we don't charge for long periods of silence detected in your audio, ensuring you're only billed for active content.
All data is encrypted in transit and rest, and we have extremely high standards for data processing. Our platform runs on Google Cloud, which provides robust security features, and we are SOC 2 Type 2 certified. This means we undergo annual audits to ensure we meet stringent security standards. We have regular data backups to safeguard against any potential hardware failures or other issues. Your data is securely stored and can be restored if necessary.
If you exceed the transcription limit for your plan, you'll be charged an overage fee per minute of video uploaded. For utilization-based model, you will be charged per minute of transcription, based on your usage.
For example, in cases where body cam footage is used, about 36% of the audio uploaded by one of our largest public defender clients consists of silence, which is not charged.
Optionally, we offer LLM-based features (such as summarization, suggested highlights / tags, and Ask), powered by OpenAI. This usage is protected by a data processing agreement between Reduct and OpenAI in which OpenAI promises that they will not train any models on your data, nor retain it more than 30 days.
